Obituary of Gary Wayne Emmons

We are saddened to share that Gary Wayne Emmons, 63, of Strathroy, Ontario, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 13, 2025. 

Gary was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 38 years, Lynnette Emmons. Their love was a steadfast bond that inspired all who knew them. Together, they built a life full of laughter, shared passions, and unwavering support for one another.

Gary is survived by his wife, Lynnette; his mother, Patricia Emmons; his brother, Dan Emmons (Angie); his mothers-in-law, Shirley McColgan and Bonne Brandies; his sisters-in-law, Gerri-Lynn Brandies (Andrea) and Catherine Brandies (Clifford); his niece Brandice Arquette. He is preceded in death by his father, Alan Emmons; his fathers-in-law, Jerry Brandies and Colin McColgan; and his nephew, Owen Brandies. We will cherish his memory and carry forward his legacy of love and laughter. 

He was a man of quiet strength, generous spirit, and deep love for his family and friends. Gary had a passion for rock music and loved listening to old records, especially “The Beatles.” He enjoyed cheering on the Montreal Canadians and playfully razzing his Toronto Maple Leaf loving wife. His sense of humour and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
