BROUWER, Marguerite

Peacefully, Marguerite Brouwer went home to the Lord on June 1st, 2025 at the age of 91.  Predeceased by her loving husband Arie (Harry) Brouwer. Lovingly remembered by her son Eric (Tilda) Brouwer and daughter Brenda Soepboer (Harold). The Lord blessed her with grandchildren Victoria, Andrea (Stephen), Terry (Jessica), Scott (Ashley), Matthew (Kaylee), Greg (Kristin), Bradley and Jessica (Edward).  Also blessed with 12 great-grandchildren Carter, Madison, Emily, Rory, Darcy, Kelly, Bennett, Braxton, Finn, Maeve, Lilian, Emerson and one on the way.

Predeceased by her loving parents and 2 brothers. Also, survived by her 2 brothers.

Oma grew up in North Holland on a tulip farm. She immigrated to Canada with her parents and two younger brothers in 1951.

They first arrived in Montreal and took a train to Chatham and stayed there with her family in the area for approximately a year. They later settled in the Forest/Wyoming area. She met Arie at Forest Young Peoples and they were married in March 1956. She was able to get her hairdresser's license and worked with her husband on the chicken farm. Arie and Marguerite were blessed with two children, Eric and Brenda. She enjoyed spending time at their Lakewood seasonal trailer.  She also enjoyed time crocheting, sewing and reading her Dutch magazines.  When they retired from the farm they moved into Forest, and later to Brookside retirement home. 

Family would like to thank the wonderful staff at North Lambton Lodge for taking such loving care of Marguerite. 

A private Funeral Service will be held at DENNING’S OF FOREST. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations to North Lambton Lodge or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.forestfuneralhome.com
