Obituary of Lajla Dennett

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Lajla Dennett, in her 83rd year, on March 5th, 2025, at Craigwiel Gardens. Loving wife of Richard Dennett of 41 wonderful years. Amazing mother to Frank (Christina) Corbett, and Sherri Corbett. Proud and loving grandmother to Jordan, Lyndsey and Andrew (Kirstie). She will be greatly missed by her special long-time friends Hank and Nancy, many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Lajla made friends everywhere she went, had a contagious laugh, and always brought a smile to people’s faces. She loved cats and dogs, all animals, and gardening. Lajla loved everybody she met, and everybody loved her in return.

The family would like to thank the wonderful care that the staff at Craigwiel Gardens gave Lajla during her time in their care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the London Humane Society and Parkinson’s Society.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
