Larry Gennow
Surrounded by his family at LHSC – University Hospital, London on February 23, 2025, Larry Gennow passed away at the age of 89. Larry is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Janet Sadler. Survived by his children Terry Gennow (Lisa Greig), Judi Richer, Lori Walsh, Rick Gennow (Sheena) and Chris (Karen). Also survived by his grandchildren Aleah, Robin, Charlize, and great-granddaughter Mitaya. Larry will be missed by his brother-in-law Alan Sadler and sister-in-law Joanne Sadler (John Dixon). Predeceased by his sisters Marg & Mona.
Larry worked as a logger in B.C. Upon moving to Ontario, Larry worked at Ontario Power Generation, which he retired from. Larry enjoyed travelling, fishing and boating. He volunteered with the Parkhill Area Horticultural Society watering the flowers on Parkhill Main Street. Larry looked forward to his daily coffee and chat at the Caddyshack. He was a talented handyman. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t build or fix.
Cremation has taken place. A private gathering of friends and family will take place at Sylvan Cemetery. In memory of Larry, donations may be made to the Ailsa Craig and Area Food Bank.
