Linda, Murray, Karen, Sandra, Mike and families - my deepest sympathy. I worked with Joyce at SMGH for years and lived right next to Joyce, her neighbour. Joyce was a wonderful nurse! She was compassionate, hard working and her patients always came first. Always available for a double shift in stormy weather.
A group of us from 4th floor socialized a lot with pool parties at different homes and took our kids to have fun. Joyce brought grand kids! Many times she would call over the fence to my kids to come for a swim! They loved that and might even get a cookie - Joyce was an excellent cook. Went on RNA conferences together - which were not all business!!
Joyce loved her huge garden. Introduced me to ever bearing raspberries!! Joyce loved to provide for the family from her garden. She enjoyed camping trips with Ron in the 5th wheel. Loved to travel and meet folks.
But most important to Joyce were her family! Her children and grandchildren. She used to talk about how they were expanding and out growing the basement for family get togethers. She loved to baby sit and spend time with the grand children without parents around.
I have so many wonderful memories of Joyce. Joyce was a very good friend! I wish I had visited as she aged at Seasons - but time and life just kept moving on. I am very sorry I cannot attend Joyce's visitation today but the weather is very stormy here today and I think I need to stay home. I think of Joye often and now will remember our fun times.......RIP

I really enjoyed working with Joyce at SMGH for many years. She was a very reliable, kind and compassionate nurse. She really cared about her patients and their families.

To Joyce's Family,
Please accept my Deepest Sympathy in your loss. Joyce was a lovely lady and wonderful nurse.
We spent time together at SMGH. She cared deeply for her patients and made sure she did everything she possibly could to make their stay in the hospital better.
