Obituary of Diane Mae Evans
Diane Mae Evans passed away peacefully at home in Strathroy, Ontario, on February 19, 2025, at the age of 83, surrounded with love from her daughter Katherine, son-in-law Craig, granddaughter Natasha and dog Rollo, and her family’s love from Barrie.
George, her loving husband for 55 years, was the love of her life and together they shared many memories. Diane was adventurous and loved swimming, boating, and kayaking. She particularly enjoyed thirty plus years staying at the Deerhurst Resort in the Muskokas. Diane cherished travelling with friends and family. She especially loved following her granddaughter Alexandra from one end of Canada to the other for her Science fairs, often taking family along for the journey. Her true passion was her gardens, where her skillful hands and sharp eye for design always impressed. Diane was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario.
She is predeceased by her parents Deek and Marion (nee Mounsteven) Lovegrove and her husband George Evans. She is survived by three daughters Kim (Stephen) Milak, Katherine (Craig) Pearson and Karen (Steve) Livesey, and three grandchildren Alexandra (Mike) Cochrane, Ethan Milak, and Natasha Pearson. She is deeply missed by cousins, nephews and nieces, and lifelong friends whom she held dear to her heart.
Though Diane faced health setbacks following the pandemic, she never let them stop her from enjoying life, nature, and the company of loved ones to its fullest. The family thanks the palliative care support team for their care and compassion during Diane's final days.
