To all the Kuranyi family, our deepest sympathies in the loss of your mom. I have fond memories of your mom when I was younger, having sleep overs at your home with Nancy. Her cheerful humming in the morning getting us off to school and her hospitality is a fond memory. And then later as a neighbour seeing her and your dad in their garden or walking in the field. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers as you say goodbye.

I will always remember Aunt Erna for her kindness and good cheer. I could always count on her for a smile and warm greeting every Sunday at church.
She left such a positive impression on so many.
Please accept our condolences.

Grandma, I will always remember dyeing Easter eggs for the egg-cracking contest, snuggling in your bed in the mornings when Jon and I stayed with you as kids, playing B Bridge with too many people and decks of cards, seeing big pots of iced tea on the stove, sanding the oak beams for your 2nd new house, walking out to the bush with the dog and a big stick, sprechen auf Deutsch als ich konnte, and all the joyous music—you were always singing, playing piano or listening to the radio.
I’m glad I got to spend so much time with you, that you we’re always a part of my life, and that you got to know my kids. I’ll miss you dearly!

My best and favorite memory of Mom is this. One day I came home quite glum as a teen. I
Mom didn’t know how to turn that frown upside down. She took me to her flower garden and picked me a long stemmed red rose.. this gesture from her own garden seemed to make things a lot better. I will never forget this

One of the best memories of you, mom, was when you came to my bedside every night to recite all our prayers in 2 languages.

Erna was a cherished mother in law. I will always remember the patience she had teaching me to make sausage. We shared a love of reading and traded books back and forth. Good times we’re had during visits to Florida ,playing cards, board games and Sunday visits after church. I will miss seeing you walk the trails of the farm but will think of you often as I follow those same paths. I take comfort in knowing that Randy has his mother with him in heaven. Rest In Peace mom.

To my sweet Grandma, I will miss you dearly. I am happy that you get to be in heaven now with Grandpa singing alongside the angels.
I will forever cherish the memories of singing together during Christmas Eve services and other church services, as well as listening to you play the piano when you’d come to visit. Teaching all the grandkids how to play dominoes, family barbecues, memories of going to Florida and learning how to play Shuffleboard–attending our piano recitals and the fun sleepovers playing barbies. I will miss you dearly.
We will play a game of dominoes in your honour this weekend.
