Obituary of Delmer Binks

Peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, William Delmer Binks, formerly of Rodney, passed away at Bobier Villa, Dutton, at the age of 90.  Predeceased by his beloved wife Joan (née Woolmer) in 1995.  Loving father of Alison McNulty, Sally Binks, Hilary Binks, Stella Drenth and Elizabeth Binks.  Cherished grandfather of Christopher McNulty, Nicholas Ritchie, Jeremy Ritchie, Rebecca Drenth and Stephen Drenth.  Great-grandfather of Zachary Ritchie.  Predeceased by his sisters, Lorene Carroll and Betty Bobier.  Delmer grew up in the last original log house in the area and was a life long resident of West Elgin.  He worked locally for the Department of Highways.  Following retirement, Delmer dabbled in goat farming and collected and sold antique tractors.    Relatives and friends will be received at DENNING’S OF WEST LORNE, 202 Main Street, West Lorne (519-785-0810) on Saturday, December 2nd from 1-3 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 2 p.m.  Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.  Memorial donations to the Parkinson’s or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
